Carrying Appendix in a dress | Part 1

Let’s talk about carrying in a dress. I try to keep my content pretty gender neutral most of the time, but this one leans heavily in one direction haha.

Guys, if you’re reading this, consider sharing this with your concealed carrying lady friends. Fair warning, I have a few more posts on this topic coming up.

Without further ado:

I’ve been asked many times how I handle this kind of attire, and to be entirely transparent, I don’t always carry a gun when I’m wearing a dress, and often avoid dresses because of the challenge they pose. That being said, whenever I’m shopping for dresses, I try to make an effort to select a very specific shape, that both flatters my body while allowing me to carry as I normally do. This shape is often referred to as “babydoll” or just “a-line”. The idea is that the dress is at it’s most fitted point at my shoulders and chest, and then flows out slightly or considerably as it goes down. This allows me to continue carrying on my waist, without having to work through the discomfort, and safety concerns that thigh holsters can introduce.

If you scroll past the first image in this post you’ll find a helpful video from @onherownlife (Annette Evans) about how your drawing pattern might change when you’re wearing a dress. Go check out her instagram, and website for more awesome content!
