What’s in my Range Bag?
Some people have asked about our range bag setup, so here goes! (Skip to the bottom for an easy starter kit list.)
-The bag and side pouches are Marine Corps backpack that Hubs got at a surplus store years ago (the bag is great, made by Arc'teryx!) (don’t let the backpack confuse you though, hes Army, not Marine)
-The black bag is chalk. Great for sweaty hands on hot days
-The multicam pouch is Army issue tourniquet holder carrying CAT Gen 4
-Glock 42 and a Glock 19 gen 4 with a streamlight TLR-7A
Inside the bag we have some other goodies
-Ear pro (Peltor Comtacs and MSA Sordins)
-Med kit! From the wonderful folks at @varusteleka
-Eye pro
-Glock mags
-Extra staples
-PACT club III shot timer
-Ammo!(We carry the rest of our ammo in ammo cans)
-Staple gun
Spare parts/cleaning kit full of extra springs and parts (including a full Glock rebuild kit). The tools include:
-Two allen key sets
-Torx set
-Boresnake and Otis Ripcord
-Glock punch
-Feeler gauge
-Also, not pictured, lubricant (Slip2000 ELW), red and blue loctite, a Glock front sight tool, and a Dawson sight punch
.
This range bag was put together over a couple years. For a good starter kit, I recommend the following:
-Eye protection, ear protection (doesn't have to be fancy), lubricant, a rag (for cleaning), and a medical kit (with, at a minimum, a tourniquet, gauze, chest seal, and pressure bandage). Also consider investing in a shot timer as soon as possible! It's a great way to measure your progress.
