New EDC Thoughts

It’s been fun carrying a larger gun, not gonna lie. Dry fire feels better, I’ve been confident concealing it, and I like knowing that I have 16 rounds in my gun instead of 7.
.
I’m taking a 20 hour course next weekend, and I know it’s going to completely kick my butt. I’m looking forward to the challenge, and I feel a bit more confident in my gear these days.
.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love my little 42 and my Axis Slim, but having a larger caliber with higher capacity and a dot certainly has its perks. Having good gear is meaningless without training though. So again, I’m looking forward to all the challenges and weaknesses that this upcoming class is going to bring to light.
.
I want to become a better shooter as I progress in my self defender journey, but I also want to be more well rounded. Shooting is only one category for the self defender. I want to have hand to hand skills. I’m aware that my size plays into my abilities in that arena, but I want to learn ways to overcome my attacker if for some reason I can’t access my firearm. There’s sooooo much to learn, and I’m aware of just how novice I am, but the desire to learn is there.
